Jennifer
J. Johnson, APR, is founder of Johnson & Company, The Virtual Agency(TM),
a full-service public relations and marketing communications firm
specializing in growing high-technology companies.
As one of America's first "virtual" agencies, Johnson & Company
has garnered nationwide attention for pioneering a 21st-century
work model, where "open collar workers" telecommute from home offices
and enjoy flexible schedules, increased personal time and the control
of their personal and professional lives. Not long after its formation,
Johnson & Company caught the attention of the U.S. Department of
Labor, who conducted multiple interviews with the agency on its
style of working "anytime, anyplace, any way, at any pace." Johnson
& Company was recently featured in Inc. Technology, Entrepreneur
Magazine, Investor's Business Daily, New York Times, San Francisco
Chronicle and on the History Channel in an "Office Wonders" documentary.
Founded in 1997, Johnson & Company billed $1 million in its first
18 months.
With 15 years experience from companies such as Novell, Inc.,
Dahlin Smith White Advertising, and Penna Powers Cutting & Haynes
Advertising, Jennifer is considered a leader in the field of public
relations. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Brigham
Young University. Johnson is an active member of the Public Relations
Society of America (PRSA) and currently serves on the PRSA Universal
Accreditation Board. She is a frequent speaker on the subject of
alternative work arrangements.
Johnson lives in Salt Lake City, UT with her two children, Jamison
and Truman.
