Ten-TV Announces Vice President and General
Manager of Internet Services Division
Haldeman Promoted To Continue Development
of Advanced Internet Broadcasting Services
SAN MATEO, Calif. — The Technology Education
Network, TEN-TV, today announced the promotion of Randy M. Haldeman
to the position of vice president and general manager of its Internet
services division.
Bruce Hanson, president and CEO of The Technology
Education Network, said, "This promotion is in recognition of the
role Randy has played in creating an outstanding Internet services
division over the past year. He has built up a world-class video
infrastructure, a full-suite of outstanding Internet video services
and one of the finest teams in the industry."
Haldeman initially joined TEN-TV in December 1997,
when his duties were to manage all of marketing, MIS, and Internet
services. Prior to joining TEN-TV, he served as the director of
marketing and content at VDOnet, where, as a pioneer of video streaming
technology, his team produced hundreds of live Internet events and
served out millions of video clips worldwide. Among his noteworthy
developments is the creation of a video search engine placed on
top of a database of film trailers from the major Hollywood studios,
enabling moviegoers to search for films and then view the trailer
before deciding which movie to attend.
Previously, Haldeman was business development manager
of Apple Computer's interactive television group where he brokered
content between the major cable companies and Apple’s group of multimedia
developers. Earlier in his career, he was a director of marketing
for a computer-aided engineering (CAE) company and an engineer designing
space satellite systems for NASA. He received his BSEE from Duke
University.
