IN THE SKY: Satellite Technology Helping the Internet
Fly
When considering multimedia over satellite with a strong
emphasis on multicasting, it is important to step back
and take a good look at one satellite-based enterprise

Learning
Goes the Distance
Leading vendors use satellite technology instead of the
Internet to deliver training - "If it were not for
the Internet, distance could have taken different learning
a path--right into outer space--with another information
delivery system: satellite technology. Perhaps it is the
technology industry's fascination with the Web that resulted
in missed opportunities with satellite-delivered training.

Training In the Spotlight
Web tricks turn learning into online experience - An
underlying issue was the transition from classroom to
Web-based training. "At the ITTA conference, there's

Hanson, president and CEO of Technology Education
Network Inc., Westchester, N.Y.
